An awareness level training course in airborne hazards encountered underground mines. This course covers three main airborne hazards in underground mining: diesel emissions, silica, and radon. Take this course and learn to protect yourself from occupational diesel, silica, and radon exposures. In this course, we introduce some fundamental concepts, health effects, and regulations for each of the hazards.

This course was developed in partnership with the Canadian Center for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) and MIRARCO Mining Innovation. The development of this course was funded, in part, by the Ontario Ministry of Labour.
